INGREDIENTS
  • 2 Yellowfin Tuna Belly or Tuna Fillet Steak
  • 6 Tbsp. Black & White Sesame Seeds
  • Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 Lemon
  • 1 Spring Onion
  • 1 Fresh Chili
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • Piece of Fresh Ginger
  • 2 Tbsp. Kikkoman Soy Sauce
  • 2 tsp. Enso Sesame Oil
  • Iliada Olive Oil
METHOD
  1. Defrost tuna steaks.
  2. Spread the sesame seeds onto a tray, and add the tuna steaks, tuning them over until coated.
  3. Heat a drizzle of olive oil & sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat.  Thinly slice the garlic & add it to the pan. Fry garlic for several minutes or until golden; remove garlic from pan.
  4. Add the tuna to the pan with the oil. Sear for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until the white sesame seeds develop a golden colour.
  5. Peel and grate the ginger, and add to bowl with soy sauce & sesame oil. Add the juice of the lemon and mix well to combine.
  6. Transfer the tuna to a cutting board & cut into thin slices.
  7. Arrange the tuna on your serving plates over fresh greens.  Drizzle the dressing, and garnish with fresh coriander leaves, spring onion, and sliced chili.
